    A little help cleaning revolver

I usually just deep six my SS revolvers in a sonic cleaner, half & half CLR to water. When done, I put in a tub with WD 40, wipe them down. Spotless.

110 grain Hornady XTP for 38 Special

I guess that is why I asked, not sure. +P brass is supposedly stouter.

110 grain Hornady XTP for 38 Special

I was more concerned with the brass handling it than my firearms.

110 grain Hornady XTP for 38 Special

Hornady manual says up to 8.4gr of AA #5, OAL of 1.445" with a 110 XTP. Quickload says this is way over pressure, and nowhere do I see any 110gr bullet handling 8.4 gr of #5. I have 150 or so loaded with 8.2-8.3 gr, in Starline reg 38 spec, QL says 19,400psi. My guns are a Henry Big Boy steel...

Seat & Crimp in one step?

With jacketed or lead bullets, seating and crimping together works fine. If you use plated bullets, seperate steps are necessary.

    Berger Manual Question

I actually bought the Berger manual, and can honestly say other than the Speer manual I recieved in a kit, it is the biggest dissapointment. I understand today's legal ramifications, but it's way on the conservitive side.

Are component prices up a lot since the election?

For a lot of 100 bullets I'd say it's ok. Buying bulk is the only way to go. Not trying to correct you but prices were stable till Dec 14th, even though they've came up considerably since 97.

Redding T-7 allen wrench size, HELP!!!

The size is 8mm, proto makes 3/8" sockets with 8mm hex heads, not sure if you can but it seperate or not. If not, if you want to use a socket with extension, you can buy a metric set of wrenches, cut the end off and epoxy it in the correct size socket.

    New Brass or Range pick

If you are picking up my brass on the range, I'd beware, I didn't pick it up for a reason. Unless you see someome dumping ammo out of factory new boxes, picking up range brass doesn't seem like a safe practice.

    .45 ACP question

JC, Lead should feed into the chamber easier than a jacketed bullet. I'd say it is your crimp. You need a taper crimp die, which you sould have, but your neck diameter needs to be ".471" or less to feed. Measure the loaded round where the bullet meets the brass for this measurement. If this...
