If you can find a stianless in your price range buy it. They are the strongest and easyest to clean. Full steel are second chioce and brass frames are last.

Probably wad or patch, I've seen alot of them on my vids and only one ball so far. I think the ball travels so fast that it is usually a blur and the wad or patch slows down so fast you see alot of them.

You will only be shaving off .003 more when you load them. And they might be more accurate.

The onlything I can add to the previos posts is if you can, go stainless. All of the pietta/uberti replicas are of very good quality, durability and accuracy. But the stainless versions are so much more fun to shoot because they are so much more aesy to clean at the range and at the end of the day.

I load a few thousand .357 a year with mine. once you get used to it you'll be doing 4 or 500 a session. I only do 100 .308 a day on it but I try to get those perfect.

It's all I use for .357 and shotshell. I load thousands of both a year and love the way it meters in my hornady presses.

My guess is that when you load cartridges on a press you can crush the powder and it will not fire. I found this out the hard way years ago by over compressing the powder in a .58 and having to pull the ball and use the puller to loosen the powder. I'm now experimenting with this in .357 for my...
