Would you sell your first gun?

Did it a few months ago. A friend has a couple young boys who will find much more use for it than I.

Co-Sponsor Of Bill Banning Magazines Demonstrates She Doesn't Know What They Are

This is a poignant statement... If they are introducing legislation that is certainly clearer in banning specific things than they even know how to describe items themselves, who is really controlling them?Thank you, Zoog.

    Colorado gun control

Just sent this one to Senator Nicholson... Senator, As I read about yesterday’s house vote on H1224, 1226, 1228, and 1229, I was, frankly, embarrassed to be from Colorado. Political posturing, ‘feel-good’ legislation, and overall ignorance of the real issues we face as Americans has got me...

Remington "Golden Bullet" 22 ammo- unsatisfied!

Wow Glad I read this whole thread. Didn't realize the date on the original discussion. I stocked up pretty heavy on goldens back in the mid-90s because my 10/22 shot it so vastly better than ANYthing I put through the gun. Eley, Aguila, CCI, tried a bunch. I saved the GB's for anything...

    Do you wear firearms-related apparel?

Well, of course I have two pair of Smith & Wesson boxer shorts that get me through every week. Wash day is Saturday. On a High Road note: Though social discourse is a fine and pleasant thing, this thread got pretty tasteless a while ago. Opinions on apparel do not warrant the crap that's...

New Hogue Zombie Grips for my J Frame

non-traditional, for certain ...but it's not about the color, its about what you handle, and consequently, shoot better. Go for it, Dude. (Can't believe I just typed that...)

Best FFL for transfers in BOISE IDAHO area

Bump for any local FFL who does reasonable transfers. I'm curious, too, wishn.

Special Taxes only on Guns and Ammunition

I can't answer your question, RMc, but I understand where you're coming from. Too many hunters backing P-R to allow that to happen, I should think. I will flatly state that I can't believe what goes on in some of our United States. I knew there were problems in IL, but I really was shocked...

When purchasing a gun, have you ever been "Delayed" or "Denied"?

Delayed once for a couple hours when the NICS was down. Other than that, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. Now, my CWL serves as the background check - no wait at all.

    Favorite Rifle...and WHY?

Browning BL22. Smooth as glass, accurate, and handsome to boot. I was going to say my Beeman R7, which shoots as well, or better, than anything I own, and gets more lead through it than anything I own. But this is a firearms forum, after all. And oh yeah... both belonged to my father.

Did you start out on a .22lr?

Having shot .22's and a couple shotguns that belonged to Dad and my uncle, I would guess I started on a .22. The first gun I ever bought was a well worn Westernfield .22 bolt repeater from a pawn shop in a seedy part of a large city. It shoots just as poorly today as it did when I was young...

    Dove Season approaching

A better tune up would be: Sporting Clays? Skeet? Trap? Other? Pretty much pass shooting, maybe scaring a few up walking the fields. Thoughts?

How Does Your Collection Balance Out?

I'm feeling pretty balanced... 32% Rifles 32% shotguns 36% handguns (incl. one black powder) The airguns go two-to-one rifles-to-handguns.

    Gander Mountain Disappointment

Kind of a shame, the new policy, if you ask me. I, like many, enjoyed fondling the merchandise. It's been a few years, but 3 of my last 4 long guns came from Gander. Part of the decision to buy there was influenced by gift cards, but a bigger part was being able to shoulder the guns without...
