Does anyone know what the differences are between the Colt 1849 Pocket vs 1862 Pocket Navy? Looking at pictures, the only difference I an see is that the 1862 has a rebated cylinder and the 1849 does not. Thanks, ~D

I can't say a thing about the Ruger 77/357, but MAN, that Marlin is a good gun! Think about options beyond the gun, too. For instance, will you want to put optics or peep sights on it? I'm not sure if there are any peep options for the 77/357, although you could go with the barrel mounted sight...
