Yes, Used Redding dies for a while and in my humble opinion they are worth the higher prices we / I pay for them. You can “ feel “ the difference in workmanship when you pick em up and I believe the machining is better than most manufacturers out there. Just my thoughts guy’s.

Hi folks , I have just fitted a Kirst Gated converter in my 1858 NMA and was wondering what size bullet do I need to cast ( yup I cast all my bullets ) , OH! my gun is a Pietta . I tried my bestist to get a chamber measurements and the average .451" but the bore of the gun definitely not going...

Also the military load was a 313gn bullet ,, 62gns of BP FG,,,, Also speeding along at 1345 fps.

I like to use cast bullets a couple of thou bigger than groove dia for my rifles,yes the .314" will do just dandy in a .313" barrel no worries. My 316299 NOE mould takes 30 cal gas checks, the bullet dia might be bigger but the shank is kept to hold standard 30 cal checks. have fun fella.
