Needing a front sight screw for Ruger Mark II

There's a place here in Austin called "Austin Bolt Company" that would most certainly have that, for like $.02. Maybe look for a business that just sells fasteners, and take the receiver/barrel in there, and see if they can find one for you?

The ol SR9 and winchester white box problem

Is the problem you're having that the spent case doesn't make it all the way out of the chamber, or that it gets jammed sticking out the ejection port? The latter case is called a stovepipe. It's fairly common, and can be indicative of poor shooting technique. I'd test this by asking someone...

Ruger MKIII 22/45 assembly hammer position

IIRC, reassembly goes like this: 1. Put mag in, aim gripframe upwards, pull trigger, push hammer back. The aiming upwards is important, as it keeps the hammer push rod from binding 1a. Remove the mag. It's only there to disengage the mag safety. 2. Reinstall the receiver/barrel assembly...

How do you store your Glock?

I only take mine out to go to the range, but I made a little four-position rack for mine, kind of like this: http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinRacks05.htm Mine is finished in "Gunstock" stain and polyurethane, with green felt covering the finish wherever the guns actually touch it...

    Displaying handguns in the home?

Depends on the gun. A flintlock musket isn't really all that great for much else these days, but hell if it isn't neat to look at.

    Displaying handguns in the home?

I can actually imagine making a display case that would be secure enough. You'd just want to be careful to put it in a private room. For instance, something that looks like this: http://www.custom-guncabinet.com/extra%20pages/wall%20pistol%20case.html Fake edit: Actually, that one looks like...

Gun case - antique suitcase style

It needs a different lining to match the look of the outside. I'm thinking some kind of velvet, maybe placed over Pelican pick and pluck foam. The outside is pretty cool looking, though.

New York State Ban - We need your help as well as other states

I'm curious as to why 1stmarine thinks dropping one's cable service would make any difference. First, not every cable company has a hand in producing news coverage, and second, even those that do, such as Time-Warner, are vast conglomerates, where the folks who produce TV news coverage don't...

most reliable .22 semi-auto pocket pistol under $200

I like the idea of a used Ruger Mark II or Mark III, and a slightly larger pocket. Mine cost about $400 as I recall, but I think they have a model that sells for about $200 brand new. My Mark III is a stainless version, with the 5.5" bull barrel. It's a blast to shoot, and has tolerated every...

    Price of 5.56/.223 !!!

.22LR isn't exactly easy to find right now. It's been weeks since I saw any on a store shelf.

Ruger sr9 malfunction! Should i be concerned!

What type of ammo was it? What type of jams did you see? Especially if it's really cheap ammo, I'd be more inclined to suspect the ammo than the gun. Maybe try cleaning it, and seeing if you have the same problem with more of the suspect ammo?

Better to write or email State Representative?

Why not do both? I've heard it said that anything worth shooting is worth shooting more than once. Seems to me that gun control legislation is worth at least two shots. You could also try calling their office, too.

found 6 G17 mags in my stash

Yeah, but he'll have to feed that fancy new pistol with his new federally mandated 3 round magazines.

    Selling one to buy another

Regardless of whether it's a gun or any other tool that is subject to personal taste, if it isn't to your liking, by all means sell it and get one that is.

    Has Sen. Reid quietly conceded?

I don't see any concession to specific measures in there at all. More like a "I'll see what we can do about that" as a polite way of saying no.
