can I Substitute A Sizing die for a Crimp Die

tackstrp, I think the previous poster was referring to the Lee Factory Crimp Die and not the taper crimp die. I use the FCD for 380 with excellent results.

New Lee Bulge Buster Die Kit

OMG, you are so right! What is up with the little arrows? Why can't they just number each step and go from top to bottom?

New Lee Bulge Buster Die Kit

Just have to add my 2 cents. Got this the other day and played with it yesterday. I love it. This is what I hoped the .40 FCD would be like when I bought it. Ran about 20 finished cartridges through it that would only go about 2/3rd into my Lyman cart. guage. Afterwards they fit perfect. Used...

    Primer backorders at Grafs

I ordered 5k each of CCI SP, LP and SR primers as well as 8lb jugs of Varget and 4198 on May 1st. Got a call two days ago that my SR primers were in. They had wolf sp and lp also.

Received the new Hornady catalog in the mail today. I noticed that the #1 shellplate NO longer lists .45 ACP.

The new shell plates now come in a plastic case. That's a nice change. Wonder if we can buy empty ones.

Is the lyman manual really that great?

I was looking at my 48th version yesterday. The .40 SW (165gr) and .380 (100gr) MAX charges for Power Pistol were WAY lower than my other manuals. Is Lyman known for being conservative?

Should I buy a .30 Carbine plate for my LNL-AP?

Do you have to lube the cases?

    Reloading Bench Inside?

In this month's American Rifleman there is a picture of a tabletop reloading stand by woodchuckden.com. Looks very nice. Sadly they don't have a picture of it on their website.

So don't manufacture the bullet, just resell it. That way the tax is already paid.

    .380 acp custom problems

I've seen recipes for 125gr bullets for .380. That seems insane. I second the Lee FCD, get it. It works and works well. I don't crimp just size with it. I can't imagine 6gr of PP. I've run up to 4.4gr in my Beretta 84BB and that kicks like a mule with 102gr Golden Sabers. I do run a...
