I just inherited an old Remington Model 24, probably built in the early 1920's. I fired it at the range last weekend, and about 4 times out of 10, the empty case would not extract properly, would often get caught up in the slide. Do I need an new extractor plunger spring?

Here's mine. I love it, although I can only shoot FMJ with it. With the fixed sights, I find that 115 gr shoots 3 inches low at 10 yards and 124 gr is just right.
I recently inherited a Savage Model 99 and Remington Model 24 from my father-in-law. Does anyone have suggestions on how to download a field or takedown manual? I'm not interested in purchasing a paper relic on ebay. Thanks!
