S&W Model 36 cylinder release problem

Thanks for the replies. I disassembled and cleaned the yoke and cylinder assembly thinking that would fix it. It was very dirty, but the problem persists. I was thinking a new spring would correct it, but being my first M36, I had some vague idea the spring was located under the sideplate. Your...

S&W Model 36 cylinder release problem

I bought this 36 from an ex-detective who wasn't really a gun guy. It's a no dash from the early 70's. He gave me a handful of +P ammo with it, and I think he may have shot a limited number of them through the weapon over the years. Well, I took it shooting, and it does fine while firing single...

Guns on your short list (limit to 3)

I'd like to get a .44 mag to trade with my dad for his Colt .22 Buntline. A Ruger LC9 would be fun, or a blue MkII Target. A 3" SP101 because my Talo is too purty to shoot. Realistically, whatever somebody practically gives me.

What's the most memorable THING you've ever put a bullet through.

I shot a hole in my buddy's pantleg with a blank during honor guard training. He made me take him to the tiddy bar for it. The next morning we woke up too late to make a downrange movement. Article 15 and 2 weeks KP. We got to go back to garrison every couple of days to take showers though...

What is your "best buy" firearm?

Do trades count? I traded a new laserjet 4000T for a mid 50's custom Sako L46 .222 with the solid floorplate in 99% condition, and a 1972 Marlin model 1894 in 44 mag with the saddle ring still attached.

    SCAM alert- gunlistings.org

Bottom line fellas, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Somebody's been doing this on the local Armslist site too, and they're always easy to spot - They're not asking retail for their used weapons. Heh heh... If not more than retail.

So, how do you pay for your hobby of guns?

I reckon guns have a better roi than a bank account.

    Female student trespasser shot...

Colorado certainly does have a Stand Your Ground law. Case law from 1897 has affirmed a Coloradan's right to stand his or her ground, and in some instances chase the offender down. In fact, even if you are the initial aggressor, if you disengage, but the other party continues the fight, you have...

Kel Tec P-32 6 penny spring guide

Good points fellas. I decided not to chance it. The old bent plastic guide rod is now back in the P-32. The accelerated wear from a metal guide rod was in the back of my little pea brain all along. Thanks for the kicks that got it to float to the top. Even though I've got basically nothing in...

If You Could Have But ONE Handgun....

If it was a bugout situation? I'd take my Ruger 22/45. You can carry lots of ammo, there's plenty of rabbits and prairie dogs around here to eat (Mmmm, prairie dog chili!), and seriously, is anybody who's attacking you going to laugh because you "only" have a .22? But then, I'm the kind of guy...
