    Break Free CLP?

I've been using Break Free CLP for well over 35 years and have never had any rust or any other problems and it protects as well as any of the other brands I've used. Works just as well on my black powder arms too. NC

1858 Remington Pietta and Cabela's review and general questions

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Remington oil a petroleum based product and therefore shouldn't be used in a black powder revolver.

    kwhi43

It's good to hear that he's OK. When he abruptly quit posting I was afraid he was having health problems. Good to know he's still kicking.

    New gun belt with pistola

About 3 months ago I bought 5 lbs of Goex from Grafs for 114.40 including Hasmat. That equals 22.88 per lb. I don't think that's too bad

    .36 wads

I never use wads. I've tried them and decided l don't need them. I just put a little lube over the ball. I'm not saying this is the best way......but it works for me. And I seldom have a FTF.

Rubbing alcohol to remove blackpowder corrosive salts

Matt, you may be onto something. I'll have to give it a try on one of my revolvers to see for myself.

    Begenning muzzle loading question

I never use a lubed wad. Just a little lube over the ball. But I've been wondering if anyone knows about how long before a lubed wad will contaminate the powder?
