Went to the local indoor shooting range yesterday. Brought my two sons with me. I am teaching them to shoot with a Walther P22.
The Walther did not misfire or jam one time. I was very satisfied with its performance (note I did not say my performance). I now only use CCI ammunition and have...
If you don't like Glocks (G26 would have been a recommendation), go with the Taurus Mil Pro. Great price. I own one in 9mm and it's been good. One note though - they will not hold a resale value as good as a Glock.
The 9mm caliber is proven to be very reliable and safe; however, if you have any doubt in your mind about it, go with the 40. It's better to spend a little extra money each time you shoot than to feel uncomfortable with your decision.
Good luck and happy shooting!!
If some type of pandemic event does occur:
One of the biggest potential problems will be the fear levels and fear mongering. The evening news shows will probably cause a lot of panic. Education will be one of the best preventive measures - but it's hard to find reliable data.
I have read...
mr dove is “right on” with his post. But I want to add my opinion as well: I am so sick of the race card being thrown everywhere for practically anything. To those who do it:
Get over it - or please just stop. Whatever infected injuries still out there in this country might finally begin to...
MCgunner,
You are correct, I probably shouldn't have posted that comment here, but it just hit me hard when I was reading this thread. Oh well, back to the gun topics.
Thanks.
Many of you may strongly disagree with this, but I feel a need to say it (perhaps I should have started a new thread).
I think it would be good for the country if everyone would quit buying anything from WalMart. I know their prices can be attractive, but I think we are hurting ourselves in...
Mizzle187: If you decide to buy the XD subcompact, I'd be glad to take the PPc off your hands.
I came very close to purchasing an XD. It is a very nice pistol, good price point, much improved durability since SFArmory decided to start using the mellonite (sp?) finish on the slide. What...
I wish I knew someone where I work at who enjoys guns. The company displays a "No Weapons on Company Property" sign. And most folks there are so uptight and unfriendly. I had a gun magazine on my desk the other day (I brought it to work with me one morning in the hopes of having a couple of...
SomeKid and omnivore75:
Sorry to temporarily derail the thread, but I wanted to say HI to the Tennesseans. I was born in Oak Ridge and stayed there until '05 when my job dragged me down to Georgia. I hope to return to TN soon.
I know these areas mentioned in the news articles. I used to...
