    Shooting glasses

I use these with prescription insert. http://www.esseyepro.com/ICE-2.4-Eyeshield_24_detail.html The lenses cut for the frameless insert cost me $50 at my local shop. $120 total for clear, smoke and amber lenses, and the prescription.

I consider women who like guns to be perfectly "normal."

    DUI w/ Gun

Why are you driving in the first place if you are worried about blowing over .08?

Date a higher class of people. :-) Seriously, when the wife and I both "unstrap" it's kind of a turn on. ;-)

Would you gripe at a cop about poor muzzle control?

Huh? None of us can predict when we'll be in danger. If I could do that I'd never carry, I'd just stay home when I knew danger was in my future. I've never considered my gun a "combustible object". It's certainly not any more combustible OC than CC. Edit: Okay, sarcasm? Hmm.

Would you gripe at a cop about poor muzzle control?

At the unsupervised, but private, range I shoot at, LEO's are the biggest breakers of safety and clean up rules. I believe it's a matter of arrogance rather than ignorance.

    Wife as training partner?

I head to the range at least once a week, with my wife. We practice both marksmanship and defensive tactics. We often rehearse calling out directions to our son as we shoot.

    S&W - Walther PPK/S recall

hhb, My wife bought a bersa thunder to tide her over while PPK was being man-handled by S&W. The disconnecter spring in that Argentinean POC has broken twice in since April, and the grips fell off on another range trip. Well less than 1000 rounds thru it I'm trying to convince her to avoid the...

    S&W - Walther PPK/S recall

Wife put about 100 rounds thru the PPK this afternoon. Seems to feed and shoot okay. However, we noticed that the read sight has been knocked way out of alignment, and is now all the to the left as far as it will go. Shows the total unconcern and carelessness of S&W. I don't have the...

    S&W - Walther PPK/S recall

My wife got her PPk back today. It was sent to S&W April 6. The "polish feed ramp" noted on packing slip must refer to the new gouges ground in to the side of the feed ramp. Looks like they used a grinding wheel to cut 4-5 slices into it. S&W must be staffed by total buffoons. Will get to the...

    S&W - Walther PPK/S recall

Engaging the safety lowers to hammer. A friend's PPK discharged when he was engaging the safety. Happened 2 times before the recall. Fortunately he practices good muzzle awareness and both times the round went down range.

    9mm Accuracy - 115 125 or 147?

Interesting to see this topic come up. I generally shoot 115gr in my Sig P239. I've used a wide range of ammo; American Eagle, Remington, Blazer, Magtech. On several occasions I've used American Eagle 124gr. Each time I've walked away thinking, "Wow, I shot well today." I'm new enough that I...

Your opinion on the Walther P22

Contrary to some reports of it being picky with ammo, I've never run anything but cheap Remington Thunderbolts thru mine, and still never had an issue. :-) Fun gun.

    S&W - Walther PPK/S recall

Actually PPK/S owners have been getting their guns back. PPK repairs haven't started yet.

Slob shooters spoil it for everybody

Not too much in the way of trash, but brass cleanup is a problem at the range I go to. Seems to be the LEO's that don't pick up their brass. At least I've got buckets of 40 and 357 sig brass to sell. Also find unfired 40 cal ammo on ground pretty regularly.
