Many thanks for the advice! I keep the 22 in the bag because it will rust if you look at it funny regardless of how well lubricated it is but I'll give it a go.

Unfortunately I don't have any manufacturer info on either bag, I inherited both of these rifles. Is that a thing that happens? Each gun had been just fine the other bag for ten and 50 years respectively.

I got a lightly used rem 700 SPS in 30.06. It came with weaver mounts, but no scope or rings. I got a Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32 scope from a friend who just upgraded to put on it. problem is, the way the rings sit on the mounts is too far apart to properly contact the tube of the scope. Which...

My cat has a serious attraction to anything made out of that hard rubber that smells kind of like octane, or gives off octane fumes. Like my tire guage. are the night sights hard rubber or plastic.

In the short term you may have some trouble finding ammo in that caliber. but it is a shweet gun.
