Hello all, I have been loading for my .338 Lapua Magnum for a couple of years now it is a savage 111 Long range hunter 26" 1-9.25 twist I love it. I am working on shooting it accurately at a mile (this will take some time). I have worked up a load using IMR 7828 I am getting consistent 4 shot...

Thanks for the info. The cartridge has a very sharp and short sholder unlike the factory 303 brit that I have, I will attempt to take and upload a picture or two.

Helllo all thanks for all the Insight, Now after a great deal of research I have found out what the problem is,after casting the chamber and measuring the exact chamber length to the lans WA LA! this rifle has no free bore with any load COAL, every load COAL in all 4 of my bullet loading manuals...

Sorry Guys, this should have said, below max load, for Hodgdon and Mid load, I used my Nosler #7 guide and the information from the insert in the bullets said to use data for Partition's every load 10 out of 10 did this at mid range (92 gr)

I just got a mod 111 savage in .338 lapua mag. Shot S&B 250 gr hps to sight it in 5 shots 1" + moa at 100 yds good to start with. Got some 250 gr Nosler gold partitions H1000 and started at 10% below starting load from hodgdon, and worked up from there, Now something that has never Hapened to me...

Thanks for the info, Do you use them in a rifle or a pistol, I have both, so I have a great deal of 2400 the little bullets shoot ok with the load data from Lyman #49 but the boxes are from speer and I wanted the info from them (just safer that way IMPO) I would love to have all the info on them...
