Looks about right, took me free floating the barrel a little more and using reloads before I got down to that though, I'm impressed that you were able to do that with factory ammo. Or, maybe I just suck as a shooter... :uhoh:

50 feet? I dunno I've only shot mine at 75 feet. I've also shot it at 150 feet... I'm not so good at the 150 feet yet, I was at least on paper, and I have gotten 3" groupings or better at 75 feet, but I don't have consistency... It's not nearly as easy as my 1911, I had 3" groupings...

The best looking 1911 is the one you own. Sure there may be ones with bling or better equipment inside, but, you can't shoot them now can you. So on that note, I like a texas 1911.

I used/owned quite a few handguns before getting a 1911, and I would say if had not been for that experience I would not be in love with my first 1911 now... you gotta know what crap is before you get something that isn't crap, otherwise you won't appreciate it, you'll take it for granted...

yup, have a cats eye scope, it was alright, glass was good, clear at decent range. My main problem with it was the lack of range in the elevation and windage adjustment for adjustment at long range, other then that it was a great scope. I also know several old timers out at my local range...

I have an sps, not tactical... 26" heavy barrel, shoots nice, 308, shoots as good as Niles. The new triggers are supper simple to adjust, I moved mine down to 2 1/2#, and the stock has plenty of space around the barrel. The tolerances are so tight the brass looks as good coming out as it does...
