    Pocket Carry Question

My choice for pocket carry is probably going to be a Ruger LC9. Yeah it's a bit bigger and heavier than the LCP. But I like the idea of a 9MM, over a .380. And recoil is not a problem for me. I can get my Dear Wife's Keltek PF9, in my jeans or Dockers Pocket. And I think the LC9 is just about...

    Pocket Carry Question

My favorite pocket gun is a Ruger .38 special LCR. I've been carrying it for over a year. Yes, it is kinda snappy. But, I don't shoot many +Ps in it. It slips in my Strong side pants pocket just fine. And I have "5 for sure". I also have a Ruger .357 magnum LCR. But I carry it in a Galco...

    357 ruger lcr

I have two LCR's, a .38 special and a .357 magnum. I've had them both for over a year. I like the .38 special to drop in the pocket of my slacks, in a pocket holster, when I'm dressed up. I carry the .357 LCR in a Strong side pancake holster, under an untucked shirt, for every day carry. I...

Help me pick a new pocket pistol.

I voted for the Ruger LC9. But I actually have been carrying a Ruger LCR, .38 special all of the time, for over a year, for my pocket pistol. I have a .357 magnum LCR too. But it's a little heavier, so I mostly carry it in a belt holster, on my hip. They are both -light and handy and give me...

LCP: FMJ or HP for Carry?

I carry an LCR. I have two, one in .357 and one in .38 spcial. My DSW will not carry a .380. So, she carries an LC9. She has a couple Keltec pistols, too. Both of them are 9mm, a PF9 and a P11.

Ruger GP100 as a car gun?

I use to carry an old beater 12 ga. Mossy pump, behind the seat in my pickup, all the time. But, since I've been CCW a Ruger .357 revolver, about 24/7, I don't have the pump with me all the time. But when there's a gun left in the pickup, it'll be that old Mossberg, and generally full of OO's.

If you could have only one .38 / 357...

Hard choice, for me..........It'd be either a 3" Ruger SP101, or a 3" Ruger GP100. Both are really handy guns to carry. Actually the SP101 carries a bit easier, for every day use. I carried one for 8+ years.

    Looking for a Handgun for < $200

Not sure at your location, but a LGS out here in IN sells Kel-tec semi-autos close to that price. They sell the 9mm, PF9 and the P11, either one for $269. And they sell theKeltec, . .380, P38T for $199. Good prices if you don't mind it being a Keltec. My Dear wife has the PF9 and P11, both...

    Carrying a SP101

I've carried a Ruger SP101, loaded with .357 magnums, for 8+ years. I use a Galco high-ride open-top pancake hol;ster, OSWB, on strongside. Last year, when they came out, I bought LCR, .357 mag. and an LCR .38 special. The .38 special LCR is a little lighter and makes an excellent pocket...

    Over 60 yrs old carry?

I carried a Colt Commander .45acp, for a couple years. Then I switched to Ruger Sp101, .357 mag, for 8 + years. When the Ruger LCR revolvers came out, over a year ago, I bought two, a .38 special and a .357 magnum. I carry the .38 LCR around the house. And when I leave the house, I have the...

    Snubbie for Christmas

Ruger LCR .38 Special Let me suggest another valid choice, if I may. In the last year I have bought 2 Ruger LCR revolvers, a .38 special and a .357 magnum. I tried the S&W J-frames. But I much prefer the trigger on the Ruger LCR. The LCR is hammerless and it has a polymer frame. They are...

Need Help Choosing Ammo For SP101

My DSW likes .357 mag., 110 gr. LHJHP's in our SP101's. But, she readily will shoot about anything. 125 gr., Silvertips, Golden Sabres. It doesn't matter. And she handles it well. I do not generally use .38 specials in my .357 mags., except for practice. It's a .357 mag. That's why I have it.

Anybody making a snub .327 magnum?

Here's the Ruger SP101, in .327 magnum. And, it will shoot the several other .32 revolver cartridges. http://www.ruger.com/products/sp101/models.html They look pretty good. I have a couple in .357 magnum myself.

    New gun poll?

My Dear Wife has a Keltec PF9 that shecarries in the pocket of her blue jeans sometimes. I, myself spent a little more money, and bought a Ruger LCR, in .38 special, which is in the pocket of my Wrangler jeans, as I type this. It's what I carry about the house. When I leave, I switch it out...
