I am torn..need some advice ASAP

"My gut tells me to jump at the deal." smart gut (verify aforementioned caveats in thread, barrel length, but I would jump on it anyway) the Ruger LCR is nice enough, but a Smith 15 it ain't

    Which would you buy?

good deal (but I woulda' said no point in the 4" vs. 6", UNLESS you plan it to be an EDC piece) k-frames, love 'em all

    Snub .357 effectiveness

How effective is the .357 Mag from a 1 7/8" barrel? Much moreso than a .38 +P Gold Dot for short barrel? effective enough, as is most +P not all 357 really is 357 anyway, anyway the top grade boutique stuff, you cannot say 357 doesn't get a little boost over +P.. but it is simply not a...

Why Arent 9mm Revolvers More Popular?

true but you have an virtually unlimited array of loadings you can choose in 38/357, far moreso than any 9mm, or even a 380/9mm (if such there be other than vaporware) been tempted by 9mm wheelguns many a time, and I am all for anybody wants one getting one, if/when they can but you just...

    Carry revolver for the wife

only smart thing to do, any make/model "Before making any decision, I would have her shoot it and see how she likes it in terms of handling and recoil." better yet, and essential I would limit enthusiasm for hot loads, absent some introductory practice stuff on the "mild" side, but that's...

Is the Taurus Model 66 a copy of the S&W M19?

Although your mindset and mine are similar, roaddog, be not too quick to dismiss 'selected vintage' Taurus revolvers. Me, I have a thing for k-frames, re: "what fits me best" (pair of S&W k-17s, k-48, pair of k-66s, all six inch barrels). Those mighty-like-K older vintage Taurus six shooters...

I want a revolver but know nothing! Help!

1st centerfire revolver for both home and range any full frame full weight S&W or Ruger, new or old model (there are no bad choices in any of those, just personal fit and personal preferences), 38/357 caliber, DA/SA action, 4" to 6" barrel length, adjustable sights desirable for more varied...

    Taurus Model 94 .22lr

the Taurus 94/941 series is famous for having possibly the worst DA trigger in the marketplace; moreso than can be excused by the "small frame triggers are stiffer than large frame triggers" truism, and/or the "rimfire DAs have stouter mainsprings than centerfire DAs" truism Beware of...

    Taurus 66ss in .357 Mag 6"

an older model t-66 six shooter in excellent condition, more than likely to be a very good choice, and an excellent value, but check it out carefully a new one, maybe not so, caveat emptor, check it out very very very carefully

For .410 fans and skeptics alike....

adequate enough on domesticated watermelons but beware of wild melons, they tend to be more aggressive, quick too bring enough gun

    s&w governor

depends mostly on whether or not you have a watermelon patch (or a pumpkin patch) for a good cause I would buy a raffle ticket too, whatever the 'prize' (and pretty sure I could find somebody with a watermelon patch willing to pony up $250 for a melon shooter, if I happened to win one, profit...

Would you buy a Taurus Revolver?

"all new guns should be good", yes they should no, they are not always some flavors less often than others not all of us own a LGS, but many of us do shop-a-lot If a test drive around the block is the magic answer for that unfortunate disparate reality, you could strive harder to find a lemon...

Handgun Carry in the Old West

I always heard that those who carried were the exception to the rule, any firearm any style, and that the vast majority who owned any firearm at all, owned a shotgun, not much of anything else don't sound heroic or romantic, but probably true a bird in the pot beats a bird in the bush methinks...
