All of the newer (Browning) Winchester stocks are inletted for one piece bottom metal. You can use the USRAC type 2-piece bottom metal with a 1-piece stock but you will need to buy a spacer in order to make everything work correctly. I just finished putting anew walnut Browning Model 70 stock...
It is the same here in northwestern Washington. The 2 gun stores that are still in business within 50 miles of here both only have the $30/20 rounds or the really cheap Blazer stuff for the .45 ACP now. I am considering handloading for the 1911. I have some .45 Colt dies that will work and I...
The .32 Win Special cartridge dates back to 1905. They were chambered in Model 94's for most of the life of the rifle model. Without a serial number and maybe some photos, any additional information is impossible to give.
The same with the Krag Jorgenson. They date back to 1894. Pictures...
I have owned a Nazi marked PPK and a commercial PPK/S in .32 Auto. They are well made, reliable, accurate firearms but the .32 Auto is not not the optimal defense cartridge.
The idea is and always has been always carry the same way every time you carry for combat. Condition 1 is the condition for combat if you want to live through it! Carry with no round in the chamber is the alternative. These are the only two ways or conditions that I will carry a 1911 pistol...
I personally would not compare a Leupold VX-I to a Leupold VX-II. The VX-II is a totally different price point scope with better optics. They are not to be confused with VX-I quality.
Where I live, not only is the County Sheriff "Unavailable", unless someone is dead, but most of the violations on shopping center, private property are actually day-visitor-aliens! Not only are they usually from Canada but most are also "aliens" in Canada, because they are from Hong Kong or the...
I have killed a couple of whitetail and a mule deer with a .243, A-Bolt Medalion. It did the job but I started grandkids on 6.5x55, CZ550 with 120 grain bullets. I won't recommend the .243 for an inexperienced hunter.
The County Sheriff Deputies where I live in the Peoples' Republic of Washington are fat, lazy and shiftless. They do not care about misdemenours or low grade felonies and won't leave the donut shop to take a report unless somebody is shot dead on private property.
Too loud for who, you or the prairie dog? The rifle actually is not louder with the BOSS, just to the shooter. I would be careful about the WSSM. People are selling their used ones really cheaply. Something about eating barrels!
Out-loud-musing, but it would be interesting to set up a...
