    .22lr Ammunition

I don't have a Walther P22, but I do have a Sig Mosquito. Sig is quite clear up front with this pistol needing CCI MIni-Mags to run well. Many, many threads exists on the heartburn suffered by owners due to this. Sadly there are some that can't even shoot Mini-Mags cleanly, but mine works...

Bug-A-Salt: The most fun I've had all week!

Oh fine. Like I haven't spent enough on Amazon this week. :)

    Displaying vs. Securing Firearms?

I grew up in a hunting-farming family. Rifles and shotguns were kept in bedrooms behind doors, on display above the fireplace and were generally another piece of daily life similar to the telephone. My parents later kept a collection in glass-front cabinets which allowed people to admire...

    What Pistol do you carry.

Sorry, didn't finish the question. I carry the Glock due to its 10-round .45ACP load. It's not the most easily concealable pistol, but it's not too difficult with sensible clothing choices and you can't go wrong with 10 45's. I carry the Sig as it is lights-out the pistol I shoot the best of...

    What Pistol do you carry.

My concealed carry choice is primarily a Glock 30S, and on those rare open carry opportunities it's my Sig 1911 (full-size).

Is a revolver not a "pistol"

In talking current firearms, I've most often been told that pistol is the generic term for a single-hand-held firearm. Webster's definition is: "a small gun made to be aimed and fired with one hand". While revolver and semi-auto are the more specific terms for the two major types of pistols.

Do you change your SD ammo during winter months?

I don't change due to seasons. I always carry Hornady Critical Defense whether it is in .45ACP (my preferred), 9mm or .357 mag.

    Who Reads Owner's Manuals?

I don't read it cover-to-cover, but I do read the disassembly, maintenance and (if available) adjustment sections.

    New Wiley Clapp GP100

I got it from Kittery Trading Post via GunBroker.

    New Wiley Clapp GP100

I find the trigger much better than the box-stock GP100 offering, so something changed. Not having a local gunsmith that is accomplished enough for that kind of work alone made the Wiley tempting, but the corner rounding, the Novak sights and the grips (which fit me very well) made it a...

Latest acquisition, Ruger Mark III Hunter.

Gotta agree, that's a fine looking pistol.

    New Wiley Clapp GP100

Just had to share a pic of my newest child. A NIB Wiley Clapp (Talo) GP100. All the great things about a GP100 plus some improvements in the sights and most importantly the trigger. I've only had it out once and it performed better than I'd hoped - easy, easy to shoot. It's accurate and...

Why on earth another S&W 66?

Those grips took that from a nice find to a great handgun IMO. Well done.

What wood was used in 70's Ruger Single Six grips?

The one I owned was walnut.

    Showing gun pictures?

As there are around 4 million people in the Houston area, and I don't post an address, last name, etc. I don't worry about it.
