I sure do like my tube fed Marlins
Notice the orange sticker on the Glenfield 60. Mint 1975 Marlin and it still had the original safety stickers on it, $80.
The 158gr. SJSP .357 mag is my favorite .357 ammo. I get the ones with the nickle shells, which is a nice touch. Never had a problem with it. For the price, it is very good.
I usually dry fire with my thumb gently on the spur, letting the hammer release normally but easing it down to rest. I do this for breaking in the mechanism, not trigger control practice though.
Yea, I guess i was thinking about weak .38s not +p. I think you make a good point with the steel guns. I just noticed the OP said it will only be carried " from time to time". I just know the trigger is easy on the LCR.
after seeing .38 158's from a snub go through a 4 inch piece of split red oak i wouldn't want to be on the round end of a LRN. I carry gold dots but in a pinch would be perfectly happy with LRN. I feel that the sound alone would make the BG high tail. I also dont encounter very many PCP addicts.
I would be more apt to shoot the regular 125 grain gold dots out of my 2" m60. Even if the barrel doesnt take full advantage of the load, it would be a much hotter round. The "short barrel" .38 +p are great out of my m637 though.
