20 gauge slugs on grizzly bears

A 20 guage slug will do damage. A 12 will do more damage than a 20. Its as simple as that. A grizzly bear's flesh isint impervious to 20 gauge slugs. It will do damage. A 12 gauge is no guarantee, just as the 20. I must disagree with most here. I do not live in alaska or having shot a bear...

hunting in canada/ border - firearms

Its a sad thing my friend, that they will tear your truck apart. I dont cross over into the states for fear of both sides crucifying me cause im a 23 year old male. I'll try and help you as much I can. As far as I know nobody asks for a hunting liscence if you are carrying firearms. But...

    .22 rat shot

If you wanted to shot rats indoor, in a barn senario, what would you use? Pellet gun? .22 shorts? .22 rat shot? Would I have to worry about ricochet with the .22 shorts? or is the .22 caliber the wrong choice and should I just stick with a pellet gun?

    Break action revolvers

Nice pics Xavier. I really like old guns, guns with character. The strength of the break action design is questionable though. I wonder how the lock holds up over rounds. Wasant the strength of the lock or lack their of the reason the break action revolver didnt last long?

Im back with more of my 39A pics. I put down a deposit on sunday, really looking forward to getting it. I used the serial number and the link FastFrank gave me to determine that the gun was made in 1960. Mo, It seems the mount is tapped into the barrel. Not sure what to think of that...

After looking through the thread and comparing it to FastFrank's gun from the 50's, I would guess it is not as old as I think it is. Bummer. But im still going to buy it :D

New member here. I come seeking advice. A local gunshop has this beautiful gun that I am planning on buying. He wants $275 CAD. I know its impossible to estimate the value of a firearm from two pics over the internet so im not asking about that. I think its a fair price considering it is...
