    327 Federal magnum

I have been loading the .327fed for 10yrs. Love this little jewel. Use 83gr, 85gr, 90gr, 100gr, and 115gr mostly, with great performance in all. Hardcast, plated, and jacketed. My barrels are 2", 3", 4", 5.5", 6", 10", 14", 17", and 23" Unquestionably in the top three of my favorite calibers.

Any decent new holster recommendations for a Colt New Service?

Uncle Mike's Sidekick for 5"-6.5"bbl is Size #3 UM Sidekick is made for medium-large frame revolvers, I have several and they work well to protect and are snug fit...no quick draw,eh? You may also consider a Bianchi . Very nice leather, looks custom without the price. Many Bianchi models, check...

    Gp100 match champion

I have two GP-100 , both in .327fed A 4" (for 10yrs) and a 6" (for 2wks) The triggers are fine on both right from the box, and they stage very well in DA, with a crisp break. I love the plunger-style front sights, both have been easily replaced with aftermarket sights.

    .357 maximum

Anyone loading .357maximum with lead, for target rounds? 158gr, 180gr, 200gr lead projectiles, including plated and coated, no gas checks. Well under 1500fps All I am looking for is safe starting loads, any powder(s). All manuals [and powder mfg's] I am aware of are for jacketed.

WOW !!!!!!! HK, that 10 is AWESOME !!!!! I don't have the words.... And the Jeep [GP] Well, it's absolutely one of the finest shooters I have/have ever had. I love the front sight style[s]. And one of MamaOzo's favorite also. That 10 is beautiful. How did you hide that serial # on the GP...

    Questions on deciding what progressive..

"I do shoot a good amount of ammo on range day, which is currently 500+ 40S&W, 500+ .223, and between 50-100 .308. Range day generally occurs 2-4 times a month,"---etkini Wow...on the outside, that's 50,000 rounds a year !!! I don't think your press choices are even in the ballpark...

Is there anything odd with this test reload I did?

This is scary to me..... Meaning no disrespect, but for your own safety, I think you need to take a step or two backwards. You should get your tools in order...so you have them at hand if needed, and do much, much more reading and research before running the press. Have a clear...

range won't let me keep my own brass!?

I like the range we shoot at. If they had that policy, I would not shoot there. I would also leave with MY brass if the policy was not clear before the fact. This is one good reason to shoot revolvers.

    Taurus Revolver vs Semi

Their [Taurus] PT-92 has an incredibly great record for dependability. Any gun and/or ammo can malfunction. Personally, I trust a DA/SA revolver over a semi-auto any day for dependable protection. Any semi-auto.....and not just any revolver.

Is a real colt worth it?

Colts...nice, and so are Blackhawks and Redhawks. I shoot them regularly. I am a single action guy mostly. Of these three, I probably like the Blackhawks best, just depends. IF I were going to spend $2000 for a new cowboy gun.....I would get a Bowen, Fletcher, Reeder, Linebaugh, Magnum Research...
