Thanks for the welcome and the help! Not sure about the date -- I am guessing based on a conversation with my father-in-law, who owned -- took place several years ago, and since he has passed on. I think he said he purchased it in the 1950s. Anyway, I will try to get a pic and upload it...

Haven't fired it yet, not familiar with it, so allow me to sound like a moron here -- but does a model from this era have a safety, and if so, how does it work? Appreciate the help!
