Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

I do understand where you’re coming from on this, but technically I bought a $400+ scope for a hundred bucks and if it functions the way Viridian claims it will function they say it is comparable to an $800 scope. 😁 We’ll see…

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

I truly appreciate all the information I am getting here. Since I really don’t know a lot about accurate Rimfires this is all good info. I have shot military grade rifles, shot tactical handgun matches, Bullseye matches, Cowboy Action Shooting, hunting, general target shooting and plinking...

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

I added the CZ 457 “Lux” to the poll. This is the last change. I promise. It’s hard to answer an ever changing poll.

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

I agree that the CZ 457 American is a darn good looking rifle. I also like the looks of the “Lux” but I haven’t figured out what warrant the extra $100 for the Lux models. Is it because of the hog back stock? EDIT: I just answered my own question. It’s the stock and the iron sights. I like the...

    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

Actually, I would have been more excited about a 28. Just thinking about shooting.44 Magnum makes my wrist ache. 😆 I just recently discovered shooting my Glock 43 does a number on my wrist that lasts for days. That snap with the twist the slide recoiling sux. I suppose I could get excited...

    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

I thought it was a 28-2. Though I did wonder why someone would engrave a 28. Not that it would be a bad thing

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

Unfortunately this is not a CMP club. It’s not really that organized. Thanks very much. One of the reasons I created this poll and thread was to learn as well as gather recommendations. That is an intriguing idea @NIGHTLORD40K I wasn’t even aware of these Savages…a little kid inside me thought...

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

I just realized I didn’t say anything about variants within the models of guns, like; the CZ 457 Varmint MTR. Please put them in your posts, if you care to post. Thanks @ColtPythonElite :)

Which bolt action .22 LR rifle would you recommend for accuracy from a bench or in the field?

The title pretty much sums things up. You can choose 2. Explanation: In January I joined a Gun Club and the first question I was asked by two members was “Do you or have you ever shot .22 rifles in competition?” My answer was “No.” They told me a little about their weekend competitions and it...

    .22 Rifle Accuracy

Whenever I get a new or new to me .22 regardless of whether it’s a rifle, pistol or revolver I test it with 15-20 different .22 Long Rifle cartridge offerings by several manufacturers. You have to find the ammo the gun likes. Just because it’s crap ammo or the best money can buy matters not to...

    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

Isn’t that just the way things go? When I find a cool gun like that it’s usually right after I bought something else and I have no money for another gun. That’s why I say “Murphy is my Guardian Angel “

Opinions on the perfect nightstand handgun.

My perfect night stand gun would be my Glock 45, BUT my wife has a hard time with the grip on standard framed Glocks and my Glock 48 single stack is too snappy for her. So we went with my very favorite revolver. The S&W 327 Night Guard loaded with .38 Spl Hornady Critical Defense and 2 speed...
