    Ethical vs Unethical Hunting?

People have different ethics across the board. I feel I am an ethical hunter, and someone else may disagree. I eat what I kill, and i fish the same way. I do kill groundhogs on 2 farms, and this is at the request of the owner. There are a lot of right answers, but none of them are right.

    Help With Revolver Maint./Care

I put a stainless Rossi model 462 on layaway a couple weeks ago, and picked it up today. It is a 2" snubby, and I paid $189. The gun is 99% easy, and has no cosmetic flaws. This model is a 6-shot .357/38+. I did the revolver tests on them, as posted on this board, and it passed with flying...

    Switchblades...Legal in Ohio?

Kind of confusing, b/c the Illegal Transaction in Weapons does not cover mere possession of a switchblade, or carrying one concealed. It seems like it should be impossible to own a switchblade....if Ohio law restricts the sale of them, and they are illegal for interstate commerce, it's like you...

    Switchblades...Legal in Ohio?

I have read through a lot of the ORC, and still find it confusing. I found a section that makes it illegal to sell switchblades, butterfly knives, etc...but it does not specifically state just carrying them concealed. On the CCW part of the law, it states that it is illegal to carry a...

    Need Help Choosing a Rifle

Have been looking for a rifle to add to my collection, and have seen .223's range from $1,800 automatic to a $300 bolt style. I definitely want a semi-automatic, or possibly with a 3 round burst. Bushmaster seems to be the most advertised in my area, and have looked at a couple others, like...

    Accu-Tek Pistols

Anyone have any experience with these, or firsthand knowledge about how Acc-Tek pistols function? I saw a 9mm model that somewhat looked like a Kahr, and have no idea if they are a good steal for the low price, or a POS paperweight. Thanks for any input. Rob

Ever had your choice of CCW "dissed"by others?

People diss my Maks all the time, especially the guys at work. They always bring Glocks, 1911s, S&W, and other high dollar guns, and got outshot. They always end up shooting one of my Maks, but wouldn't be caught dead carrying one.

What if, from the LEO point of view.

I think anyone approaching a Cop car after midnight with a drawn weapon is asking to be shot. Let's use common sense here. As far as the people approaching from the side.... You should always be prepared to get yourself in a good position. This may sound odd, but if I am in a parking lot...

Cops....what is your carry peice on duty and off? Why?

On Duty: Glock 22 + Glock 27 or Makarov or both Off Duty: Usually Makarov, sometimes G27

What to say to people who say "SA is for well organized militias only?"

I would say that the Cinstitution needs updated. Although I like to carry my pistols, let's face it....times are different than 1776, as is the definition and meaning of militia. They guys 230 years ago put together a heckuva a writing, but they obviously could not see the times we are in now.

    Denied Renewal of My CWP

AMEN!! If you cant follow a simple speed limit law, you sure do not need trusted with a firearm. It is obvious you have little regard for the law.

    Would you run or fight?

People with the 30-40 yard shots- I'd say cut your accuracy in half. When drawing fire from an AK, and likely having never been in that type of situation, your heart rate will rise and negatively affect your shooting. If you have never done serious stressed training through scenarios, you...

Shot a buddys glock 27, first time firing a glock and first .40

I got my Glock 27 for $398 brand new in box, and love the gun. Would rather shoot the 27 rather than the 22 and 26 at ranges out to 30 feet. Just learn to get proficient in using the grip. And I have no problems keeping the sights on target when unloading a mag. Great gun, IMO.

Hunting: A Privilege or a Right?

I'd say hunting is a privilege. The State of Ohio owns the wildlife. They set regulations (1 buck per year) even on private property. Some states even go as far as to tell you how large a buck's rack must be to shoot it- on your property or not. BUT: If you have a conviction for a...
