Well, if they get to that point then my Carbine in 7.62x39 will have to go. I'll probably keep my .223 Carbine though. One of the local shops here is a CZ direct dealer and said the 527s were the best selling CZs that they sold. He said he probably will not be selling as many CZs now.

All that I read on the box was "Small Rifle Primers", but I didn't pick them up and look any closer. It didn't really matter to me anyway as I'm out of the shooting hobby unless things change. If they don't change then maybe I'll try and learn how to play the guitar. I have a Strat setting...

I found some CCI small rifle primers at Bass Pro this week, but they went up to $129.99/1000 from $64.99/1000 just a couple of months ago.

Well, that's assuming that you ONLY have a carry gun and never want to go to the range. I was going to the range every week shooting different handguns and long guns and that had to end.

Unfortunately, bad career choices have me numbered among the "can't afford it" group now that inflation is kicking my behind.

They were "Small Rifle", nothing special about them. Sure they are. I don't HAVE to go to the range and shoot, but I enjoy it. I don't get to do it anymore because of the cost but I guess I'll get over it. Gas and food prices are different. People have to drive to get to work and other places...

I certainly don't blame reloaders. My point is that the "transitory inflation" rhetoric they were spewing is nonsense. I believe we are in the middle of a really bad inflation scenario that for the most part will not reverse. I would love to be wrong because it has really put the hurt on me.

Well, I guess that makes the two carbines I have (.223 & 7.62x39) something to hold on to for a while.

I carry a S&W 442 in a small Timbuktu2 messenger bag while riding my bicycle. I can shoot it while it's still in the bag if need be.

I heard a rumor that CZ was discontinuing the 527 series of rifles. With these new rifles it's easier to see that that may be true.

I stumbled upon a pretty nice 572 BDL at Bass Pro a few months ago for $249. Couldn't pass it up at that price. Fun guns for sure.

Not so much "too busy" as "too poor". Now that inflation has become supercharged I'm just trying to keep up with the things I have to pay. Poor job choices have come back to bite me in the behind now that I'm in my 60's. A while back I cleaned and put up all of my firearms except what I carry.
