I ended up buying my own rig because I didn't like the MOLLE-type LBE/LBV that the Corps was issuing, so I got a Blackhawk RECON chest rig and was using the Blackhawk 2-mag STRIKE pouches. My last tour was with 1st Bn, 23d Marines; 2004-2005 Not sure what my unit had to do with my magazine...

I normally use nothing, I just take the magazine as it comes. However, if I was to use a magpull device I'd choose the Floor Plates. I decided against the MagPull brand when prepping for my last tour because they were so thick as to prevent me from keeping two magazines in my 2-magazine...
