How to best charge powder for .223 w/Lee stuff

Not difficult Did you also get a Lee charge die for the 4-holer? These look like a regular die but holds a Lee powder funnel in their top end - you then raise the case up to the die, drop your charge into the funnel, and voila! - all done and no spills. I use an old film canister (those...

Will a snowman stop a JHP?

Well... Several years ago, while working on a project just to the south of Trenton, I was compelled to put a halt to 2 crazed snowmen bent on causing major disruption. A double-barreled 12 gauge from 10 feet out - both barrels at once, loaded with one ounce of 7-1/2 shot - cut them cleanly in...

    How's the MEC 600 Jr?

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's looking for parts for the MEC. Willing to trade brass reloading stuff for MEC parts. 1776J, LOTS of MEC parts available in a lot of places - not to worry. And the 600jr. just might be the very best place for you to begin reloading shotshells, as it is a...

    Mental illness/concealed carry question--all states

Troubling.... New to the forum, so I beg your pardons for my probable faux pas to come. I have a 27-year-old son, who was near-fatally injured in a motorcycle accident 2-1/2 years ago. Among the plethora of injuries, the most severe was traumatic brain injury; the technical diagnosis was/is...

223 Reming 62g FMJ load question

Be aware that the OAL they're giving you is a maximum for working in mags. Shorter is ok, you might see some degradation of accuracy with a bigger jump to the rifling....but then again you might not. You're OK to push 'em down to the cannelure.

    loading for 8 x 57 JS

I have been using Accurate Arms 2460 with Hornady 125 gr., Sierra 150 gr., and Sierra 175 gr. for many years. 125's run out at near 3300 fps; the 150's on the hi end of 2800fps, and the 175's around 2550fps. Load weights are comparable to others and accuracy is excellent - 2-1/2" to 3" with...

    MSN GunRights Poll

Is this guy for real? Some editor PAID him to write this pap? If so, then the editors don't read what's written either. BTW, at this moment in time the picture to the right in the article says "would stricter gun control help prevent tragedies?" - and stands at 59% NO.

AR's were not meant to be hunting rifles....

Honest, Rembrandt, the iron sights work really, really well, out to distances that might surprise you. Give it a try. :)
