If you already have a 10/22 you may be able to get just the barrel from someone at rimfirecentral.com . Lots of people buy the Wallyworld specials for the ss receiver and ditch the barrels. That's where I got mine.

I've heard various responses to this question. I do know that when I had my carbine in the factory stock it shot better with the band than without.

Why would you not take it to a smith? He's got a live round in the rifle and can't extract it. Something is not working right. It would be much better to have an expert work on the gun. Not to mention a helluva lot safer than just pointing it at a mattress. BTW...unless that mattress is...

For magazines I like the Butler Creek Steel Lips 25 round mags. Mine work great. They also make a special loader for them. It works great and will save you alot of pain in your fingers. Also they won't get nearly as dirty from the ammo...
