I carried a G38 all day yesterday. It's my rain carry. Living in Florida, it rains. What are you gonna do ?
I'm very happy with the size and performance of the 38.
I just went through the same thing as the orig poster.
For the last two months I have been in search of a compact 1911 to add to my collection.
First I wanted the Para Slim Hawg.(3 in.) I read great things about this little 1911. However, after several days of thinking about it and NOT finding...
There are two things on this thread that I totally agree with.
The PCR fits my hand as well as any weapon I have ever held.
Holsters are a pain in the ass to find. I bought one used from a fellow poster here or at TFL. (can't remember)
I did not want to wait six months to a year to get a...
I have a dozen handguns and none fits my hand better than the PCR.

That being said , I have never carried a full size weapon. Biggest thing I carry is a G38,OWB. Smallest is the PM9 in pocket...
I had a Kimber Pro for a while. The Wilson mags made the weapon work. No other mag would work efficiently. Shot well. Carried well in Sparks VMII.
Sold it.
Now I'm after a Colt XSE.
