I would suggest getting a polymer lower receiver from New Frontier Armory. This would help save a lot of weight over a standard receiver. You can find them here: http://www.lw15.com/index.php And then a lightweight hand guard like this would help some also...

Thanks Squarepants. The day after I got it I realized that I had gone to the gun store expecting to walk in and buy the LWRC M6A2, I wasn't even going to look at another gun, but this one stood out so much that I immediately gravitated towards it.

About a month and a half ago, I had a thread in which I promised to get pics of my new AR up as soon as I got a new SD card. Well, here they are!

A Howa 1500 with the Hogue stock in .25-06. Thats what I've got, and It shoots moa every time I do my part.
