My issue with the TRP is that you're paying an extra $700 MSRP for an ambi-safety and skeletonized trigger when compared to a Sig GSR. Whoopie! :rolleyes: GSR comes with everything that the TRP comes with while adding an all-model stainless slide and frame under the optional durable black...

I feel that the Sig GSR will give you the most bang for your buck, IMO. You get all the checkered straps, stainless steel w/ optional matte coating, Novak night sights, beavertail hammer/safety set, match internals, zero MIM, and it's right about your price range.

Fully functional first Gen G17 with one hi-cap magazine (purchased the gun a few months before the ban lifted) and one 10-rounder for $100. I use it as my daily carry. What? ;)

I chose "Glock" because you'll be pretty darn hard pressed to find the same combination of light weight, high capacity, soft shooting, reliability, ease of modification, accuracy, and accessory availability for the same price anywhere else in a platform as proven world-wide.

Both my G17 and P97DC can shoot better than anyone who has fired them yet. With that said, I would have to say my 7mm/223 TC Contender my dad gave me a while back is pretty damn accurate even in my sloppy, distinctly unworthy hands.

I personally would love to see a modernized, simplified "new version" of the 1911. Keep the same shape, size, dimensions, whatever but make it with only as many parts as it really needs. Hell, they could even call it a 2011 or something. I like the 1911 fine but it's a way over-complicated...
