zzz) Wow, there's the button on the right side of the receiver that snaps the slide closed and ready to fire. Mmm. I guess I didn't _think_ or see that that's exactly what that button does. It is a beautiful shotgun and I had an 'oh shiny' moment. Thanks for the help.

It's not in my grasp right now. I didn't see one. It _may not_ be an Auto 5. There's a small, sort of, flush lever on the left side of the receiver. Forwards and backwards acting. I'll see the piece today sometime.

Mmm, maybe go to a gun show (or knife show) and get some feedback from a knife builder/ dealer or two. I'm referring to a guy with ten custom built knives that he wants $300 a piece for, but they really look like a million $$$s.

Keep in mind that they're affected by low temperatures.

I own a Monster Maul. The big box stores carry clones and Northern does as well. You can use a good file to sharpen an ax or even the maul you have. I'd also recommend having two splitting wedges.
