Wow, there's the button on the right side of the receiver that snaps the slide closed and ready to fire. Mmm.
I guess I didn't _think_ or see that that's exactly what that button does. It is a beautiful shotgun and I had an 'oh shiny' moment.
Thanks for the help.
It's not in my grasp right now. I didn't see one. It _may not_ be an Auto 5. There's a small, sort of, flush lever on the left side of the receiver. Forwards and backwards acting.
I'll see the piece today sometime.
rcmodel,
Thanks for the link to the manual. I was just fumbling through the Browning site looking for it.
I have a slight issue. I was shown my ladyfriend's late husband's Browning. I'm not familiar with the shotgun but it appears to match everything A5. I racked the slide before I went...
A buddy owns a shop with a few employees. One of them became a sheriff's deputy and my buddy was driving a co. pickup and saw the fellow - directing traffic. He thought he was being funny and wiggled the truck as if to aim at the deputy.
The service weapon came out of his holster and was...
-Kind of Blued-
Not to take anything away from your experience, I see a fellow with Tourettes in several spots around my town. It is an odd disease.
He makes mostly menacing mumbling, never had him appear to have any weapon though.
Mmm, maybe go to a gun show (or knife show) and get some feedback from a knife builder/ dealer or two. I'm referring to a guy with ten custom built knives that he wants $300 a piece for, but they really look like a million $$$s.
Ditto on not handing a loaded weapon around. In the chamber or in the mag.
Otherwise, I'm glad I did pickup some snap caps for my 9000s. (DA/SA) They're aluminum and they're getting chewed up. One could fab them out of old cases too. I need to keep practicing the DA pull.
I own a Monster Maul. The big box stores carry clones and Northern does as well.
You can use a good file to sharpen an ax or even the maul you have. I'd also recommend having two splitting wedges.
