I knew the scope would effect the value but not that much. I'd never sell this for anywhere near 200. Your right they don't make them like this anymore. I'd really like to narrow down the production date. Hs42** I believe is between 1921-1937

Just acquired a Marlin model 39 I have a Marlin 39 with HS 42** as the serial number. I would say it's in around 60-70% condition. Can anyone tell me what year and what value it is? Unfortunately it has had a scope put on it a long time ago. Any help would be appreciated.
