    Morel hunting

One day, 50+ years ago, my brothers and i literally found several thousand. Now lucky to find half a dozen in an entire day in the same area.

    Elevated Blind recommendations

We have this redneck https://redneckblinds.com/collections/fiberglass-blinds/products/buck-palace-360 and like it pretty well. Seems better made than many others we've looked at. Also thinking about adding one of these.. https://ultracomfortblinds.com/

    AR Recommendation?

If cost isn't a big factor, you'll rely upon it for home defense, and you won't be shooting it a lot, it makes more sense to get an upper tier gun that is hopefully less likely to have issues. Shooting less means less likely to discover issues before they really matter.

Magnum research BFR, 500 jrh or 500 s&w?

I think it all depends upon your desired use. For just going to the range, any will do fine (probably whichever is the most economical). For tromping around a lot, i'd go with the short cylinder bfr. For longer range hunting / shooting, i'd really consider the .460 in an xframe.

    which would ya'll get? 22lr

The LCR among your choices, but like almost everyone else... I'd recommend something else. I'd see if they might have a good used SW or Ruger revolver with at least a 4" barrel.

    .44 Special GP

That does help. Thank you. P.s. already have the smith 69. Debating if need the Ruger GP too!

    .44 Special GP

If the Ruger is more durable, why not rate it for .44 mag? I understand the desirability of the .44 special, but you can just shoot .44 special in a .44 magnum if you like and you have the assurance that it can handle the hot stuff via the .44 mag designation. I don't care about the process...

    .44 Special GP

Ok. I have several Rugers and Smiths -including a SW 69. Serious questions... Can anyone explain to me how a GP100 in .44 spec is as desirable as a SW 69 in .44 mag when they are approximately the same size? Also, why can't Ruger make the GP100 as a .44 mag instead?

Have you shot one or more coyotes, past 100 yards?

Almost all I have shot were. Used to call a lot with brother. He toted a 12 Guage and i toted either a .17 Remington or .22-250. He took the critters coming in fast close and I did the ones that held up. It really depends upon your terrain whether you're better off with a shotgun or a rifle...

    Diamond D Guides Choice

I'very read enough glowing reports that i'm on the verge of ordering one. Was shocked to see sw 629 pc vcomp 5" as a stock option on their order site. Another maker specifically says they will not make holsters for performance center guns or special runs.

    Coon Calling?

We called at night. If near a den area, we tried to be there early or late so they'd be more likely to be in the area.

polarized fishing glasses cheap vs expensive

When i had lasix surgery, eye dr (md) recommended i get a good pair of sunglasses and wear them whenever outside. I had the start of cataracts at a young age. Possibly related to being outside without sunglasses every chance i had. A retired optomitrist advised that any good quality...

    Coon Calling?

We used to call them back when fur was valuable. Used dennis kirk handcalls and tapes. Baby coon cries was most effective, but coon fight and bird cries also worked. We used two rifles, one .22 and one .22 mag both outfitted with redlights and scopes with illuminsted reticle.

    Glock 20 for grizzlies?

I tried to be funny earlier, but i was serious in that it'd probably be a great choice as a relatively light and compact backup to the bear spray. I've bow hunted & hiked and you dont want to carry a lot of extra items/weight for a pretty remote possibility.
