Cheapest, clean, low recoil .44 Special and .44 Mag ammo?

You don't save money reloading, you just get to shoot more for the same dollar amount. Its another hobby all together. It either takes a decent amount of your time so you can frugally put together a reloading system or a decent amount of money so you can frugally use your time. Everyone starts...

    Crimped enough?

It all depends on what powder and recipe you have. From that angle, it looks to me like it may need to be seated a touch more. ^^^gnarly crimp :-) -Robb

    Worried about CWD.

Not trying to start a fight, but as someone mentioned above, one of the leading propellants of CWD is baiting/feeders/unnatrual feeding areas. If you are worried about it, I find it odd that you ask if a deer looks like it has CWD standing underneath your feeder. Just my .02. -Robb

    What's on your short list?

These are the wants: 1. Coonan Classic 2. RPR in 6.5 Creed 3. S&W 625 4. S&W 629 5. Ruger Mark IV Target Technically, I "need" some sort of sporting shotgun, I own a 18" next-to-the-bed 870, but I've never been a shotgun guy. In actuality, I'm very pleased with my current "collection" as I have...

    Is skeet the least popular?

It must be a regional thing because Ive always heard that trap was crap. Skeet and sporting clays are all the peeps I know shoot. I myself, am not a big shotgun guy but loved shooting skeet and was bored shooting trap. -Robb

    Coated Bullets?

I'll give another nod to MBC. I've had zero issues getting a good roll on their coated .38/.357, both Brinell ratings too. -Robb

    $1000, 1000 yards scope.

The answer is there's a lot of them. I use a IOR Valdada 10x40 and a 20 MOA base. I've actually shot this same scope at 1 mile and could see the target just fine. Also, you're gonna have to dial for that distance if you want precision. I'd recommend a less busy reticle, 20 in either direction is...

Gander Mountain is only Incidental to this story...

Most criminals, if this is your main concern, are opportunistic. I would think that robbing 2 men, loading magazines, in a public parking lot of a popular "gun" big-box store, wouldn't be the best opportunity. They most likely didn't react to you because you didn't pose a threat. No reaction...

What do you do with your carry gun when you are home?

If I'm carrying my 442, it goes on top of the fridge in its pocket holster. If I'm carrying my P226, it goes in the nightstand. There's a pumper that lives in the bedroom. I don't have kids, and kids don't come over but a handful of times a year, and when they do, all guns go in the safe. I do...

You ever bought a gun and were later like why did I buy this gun!!!!

I feel the same way. I picked up my AR about 2 years ago after the Sandy Hook inflation went away. I know I don't have more than 500 rounds through it. Every collection should have one IMO but as far as it being something I yearn to shoot, its low on my list. -Robb

Rare - concealed carrier kills robber in Illinois, not charged?

It went into effect when the state adopted a CCW for residents. It essetially just lets you travel through the state without having to stop and do the crazy lock up procedure. But, as in this case, also allows you to protect yourself in situations when you're stopped. Now that Missouri has...

Why not take a target gun hunting?

I would think most good hunting rifles, in most hunting calibers could make the same shot as a target rifle out to 500 yds with a less weight/more mobility. -Robb
