I just don't get it?? Spend over a grand on a revolver but a whopping seven bucks on a sight and light? I'm not condeming and it's none of my business really, but dude, that just looks Po-Dunk. Did you lose a bet or something?
S&w 625
Smith & Wesson model 625. The newer guns are good. The older guns with forged internals are better. They can be had for about half of your listed budget, leaving almost enough for another decent .45. If you've already got several other auto .45's, why not try a revolver?! Moonclips...
I bought a Corrections dept. trade in a couple of months ago for just $175.00
Finish is a bit rough showing light scratches and bluing wear at the muzzle and cylinder, but it's highly accurate and decently tight.
I wouldn't go higher than $250 if there is much more than slight wear...
I picked up a dandy 422 in a pawn shop two days ago for only $159.00
Exterior of gun is in 94-95% condition. Magazine has a couple of scratches and light rust spots but funtions fine. I took it to the range today and ran five magazines of el-cheapo bulk ammo through it with zero problems...
It might handle a lifetime of full house .357 shooting, but a Ruger GP100 will do so without question.
Don't get me wrong. I am very much a S&W fan. But if you're gonna shoot it a bunch, get the Ruger.
