<$600 1911's I had never owned a 1911 and didn't want to invest a ton of money, so I went with a basic Girsan. Have ran about 400 rounds thru it without a failure. Only complaint is the sharp edges on the beavertail. Can cut your hand during recoil. My next one will be a Tisas just for comparison.
