I did the same with some 380 brass a few years ago. meant to just heat the oven to 300 and forgot to turn it down. sat in there for an hour. I've reloaded it and didn't cause any problems.
Just went back and read your original post again. If I remember correctly(too lazy to look at my load notes) I am getting about 1200 with my load, maybe a little more from a 4 5/8 blackhawk
15.5 is an aweful heavy load for 180gr. The max for a 173 gr Kieth is 15.0 I shoot a 180 MBC pug with 14.5 gr h110. I won't go any higher. I'm sure it's on the edge there. FWIW it's the most accurate load I have for .357
Same goes for XTP Hornady ammo, at least for 357. I've got a bagfull of it . It's a pain if it gets mixed in with full length brass, end up with no crimp.
I've been building traditional bows for 20+ years as well as building split bamboo fly rods. Even go so far as turning the ferrules from nickel silver on the lathe. Shooting and reloading has slowed those 2 hobbies to a crawl. Every once in a while I take on an antique restoration for myself...
I've been using this bullet in front of a big charge of H110 for deer. It is by far the most accurate cast bullet I've ever used, even more accurate than the 173 Kieth. Absolutely no leading. Kudos to MBC. I also think the flat base is the key.
