    First reload! Sorta of...

About two dozen crushed casings getting it right, and only half of them actually fired when I did. I'm doing something wrong, 50% of the time... video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLvoSXkdM8U

    Almost ready, checking my facts...

I'll do better than pictures, I'm setting up the video camera. It'll be up on YouTube, as well as video of the (hopefully) successful test firing. I hail from Reno. A Cabelas just opened up last year just out of town.

    Almost ready, checking my facts...

Today is payday, so I'm running down to Cabelas after work and picking up the last three things I need to start reloading: bullets, primers, and powder. I bought a Hornady reloading book, and it says the primer type is WLP for 45auto. I'm assuming that means Winchester large pistol? And I'm...

    How much flare?

I'm using an RCBS progressive press with RCBS dies. Progressive press is kinda nifty. Soon as I get all the stuff I'm missing, I should be able to crank out hundreds of rounds in a short period of time.

    How much flare?

Thanks guys! I'm going to order Hornady FMJ-RN, so I shouldn't have to worry about lead shaving. Just a little bell to get the bullet started is what I'll shoot for. I'll have more questions as soon as I get the rest of the stuff, I'm sure!

    How much flare?

Just got my die sets, shell holder, and corn cob media to clean up all the brass I've collected. I still haven't got bullets, primers, or powder yet, but I'm trying to setup the dies in the press ahead of time. I'm starting out with .45ACP, and I've got the deprimer in and working like a champ...

    Brass/Silver/Green cases?

Sure Enough Yup, ran the green stuff by a magnet and it stuck right on. Definitely steel, and not worth the trouble (which sucks because I picked up *tons* of it off the ground). Thanks guys!

    Brass/Silver/Green cases?

I don't even have all the pieces to make my reloader work yet, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I even attempt a reload. I was out shooting .357 the other day, and the ammo I was using was a mishmash of all different brands. I saved the brass, and now I'm wondering what can be...
