A savage 110 in 270 win What will you be putting the ProStaff on? I have a ProStaff 4X on a .22 rifle and it works just fine. For an inexpensive plinker/hunting rifle the Nikon ProStaff does a fine job. Depending on the type of rifle, I'd even put one on a centerfire and not feel cheated...
