I shoot my S&W 1911 full size in the single stack division with USPSA.

+1 on Single Stack in a major power factor. Since you reload, you may want to adjust your load to just make major - I currently shoot 3.9 grains of Clays, with a 230 gr montana gold jhp. I'd have to check the OAL. But this gives me a nice recoil and is great for matches.

The only problem I've heard of was an AD from a fellow reloading and dropping his shells into a 5 gal bucket from a couple of feet high. I reload and store them in the ammo cans and in the plastic ammo holders.

I have four of the M&P 9mm that myself and sons shoot at USPSA matches. Great guns... If you're going to be shooting for competition consider having a trigger job done.

100 rd WWB at Walley World in Fl for 18.86. Interesting - I found an old box of 9mm that was 12.99 for 50 WWB that was around 15 years old... shot just fine in our uspsa match. We're goint to be ordering our Dillon reloading gear soon.
