I don't think purchasing brass adds much to the cost of reloading. I can get a minimum of 5 reloads out of any case so even if I pay $50/1000 cases that is only $0.01 per case costs per reload.
If I could build the ultimate reloading bench it would be a regular counter top over regular kitchen cabinets. This would give me a great surface to reload on as well as plenty of storage room.

I just tumble my brass to clean it and then store it in 5 gal. buckets until I'm ready to process it to load it.
Are there any good gun stores in Livingston cty? I think I'm going to buy a house there this spring but haven't checked out the general area...

3. I save money which means I can shoot more and purchase better reloading equipment.

Steel shot is NOT the way to go, especially for trap. What you want to look for is #8 lead shot (that's what I prefer). This will run about $30 per bag.
