I want to buy a no frills 1911 workhorse, and was looking foreward to buying one from Springfield. Then I found out they have those stupid safety locks in the grip. Who else makes em at "normal" prices. 1911s are so overpriced its stupid. I refuse to pay $2 grand for a pistol.

My county has parks, and nature preserves that our outside of incorporated areas. Is it legal to target shoot in these places? The official metroparks website allows hunting in designated areas, but also lists a no firearms rule (which is unconstitutional in the state of Ohio). It...

The hunters only had one firearms among them. I'm betting its is illegal in that state to have a loaded firearm on an ATV (thats how the victims were moving around). Chalk this tragedy up to another stupid gun control law.

I'll take my M14 over an AR any day. The blowback that dirties an AR hampers reliability far more than any problem an M14 developes. I can put 1000 rounds through my M1a without cleaning it. Do that with an AR and see what happens.
