Square butt K frames are my overall favorite handgun.

S&W performance center model 29. With 240gr SWCs at about 950 fps it is a joy to shoot. Smooth trigger , interchangeable front sight, nice heft.

I bought a Tru-Glo 2x from Sportsman's Guide but sent it back. The dot was fuzzy and the magnification created a fisheye effect. I would like to try the Aimpoint but haven't been able to make myself spend that kind of dough (yet).

Smith 14s and 15s make for a very enjoyable day at the range. I am slightly partial to the 6" model 14, for the longer sight radius.

I used to own two Taurus revolvers, a 608 and a 605. After several trips to the factory to fix problems that were never really resolved, I gave up. Now I buy only Smiths or Colts, usually pre-owned.

I use Chore Boy copper scouring pads. Cut a piece off, wrap it around a nylon brush and it peels away the lead. Works like a charm and is harmless and cheap.
