You're right ... the Lee is probably a better match for the volume occupied by the shank. I get a bit less pressure with the Lee. Probably best to measure the shank length from the position of the crimp and the bullet OAL.

I ran 4.1gr of N340 at your OAL and got 12Kpsi and 710fps.

I shoot a good bit of VV powders in various cartridges but those loads make my wrist sore just looking at the velocities.

When I run it in QL @ 5gr of N340 ... I get 17.7Kpsi and 840fps. I'm using the Hornady 158gr LSWC (#10408) as a stand in for your bullet. I set the COAL to 1.47" and the barrel to 3.6" ... assuming you have a 1.6" cylinder. Using a bullet with the crimp groove in just a slightly different...

That's probably my fault. I hit them pretty hard yesterday at $35/lb. They probably went online and looked at what was up for powder prices.

I left a good bit. It was hard to walk away from those 8-lb jugs of AR-Comp. I've got a few pounds of it already but I only shoot it in 450 Alaskan along with 3031. So I'm pretty low volume on that stuff. It's just the right burn speed for my 20" barrel.

Nice. I think you missed the FPS in the third row. I love me some VV powders ... super clean. I loaded up on N105 before they quit importing it but I've not run it in my 45 Colt yet.

Yeah, but you have to understand ... my program would scan their website every 60 seconds. I would have an order in within 3 minutes of it showing on the website. That type of automation can expose some holes in a dealer's processes.
