    6.5 Creedmoor Loads without H4350

TALIV nailed it. IMR 4451 is nearly identical to the varied 4350s, is temp stable, copper resistant and runs minimal ES. Tried it in bench rifle and it stayed well under 1/2 MOA at 600yd for 20 shots. ITS available.!

    Sharing more 10mm chrono data

Yes many thanks, that was a tremendous amount of work.

    Aluminum ammo

Just had another thought, there is some polymer ammo available now- that should really drop the weight load.

    Aluminum ammo

Current 9mm Blazer is boxer primed and will reload with no changes in technique. Ive tried a few cases a many as 3 times without any issues. But there seems to be little point to it. Now if yer planning a trip to Mars then a tad of weight might become significant. On my bench a boxer...

    223 and CFE

My barn gun 308 shoots this very well with 165gr bullets. In fact outstanding. With the little gun it shoots well but I think Varget and 4895 are somewhat better at least in my guns.

    Domed primers

Started reloading somewhere around 1958 using a 310 tong tool. The primers came in wooden slotted trays like those shown, but I cant remember ever seeing domed primers for reloading. I wonder if the retail sports stores were biased against them. None of the presses I acquired over time-CH and...

    Another big fan

First if anyone needs to get rid of their "Perfecta" brass you can mail it to me, PPU als. I will take care of it. Secondly one of the simplest means of lubing a large # of cases with no powder contamination or stuck cases, is to use Lee case lube with a few cleaning patches and some 91%...

    Shipping from Natchez

It is simply that smokeless powder is a flamable solid that is really difficult to ignite, almost impossible by percussion, and it is packaged and has been packaged in containers that are reasonably resistant to ignition. Primers have been packaged forever in a manner that has been resistant to...

End of the year reloading regrets and plans for new year

Regrets that I didnt get enough 8#s of powder when they were only 80$ a few years ago.

What is a good powder measure for handguns

Ill second the "Ll Dandy." Its limits alot of loads, but when you establish one you just put in that rotor and go. Its quicker than a tax and spend politician. ablock of 50 pistol cases should only take bout 120 seconds. Put the same rotor back another day and you have the same charge. Rotors...

    Squib - Stuck Bullet

First, dont ever consider firing a charge behind a stuck bullet in any form. Ever!. Secondly is the wood dowel still in the bore? It cant stay in their while you try to push the bullet back, nothing but misery that way. If no wood inplace then listen to the people that said use a bore fitting...

    Shipping from Natchez

First, Hazmat is a cashcow tax invented by someone in the shipping business with the aid of some politico. I do not believe there is a single recorded incident of a powder or primer ignition at the hands of a shipper under normal conditions, forever. Not discounting extremely violent crashes or...

Primer goes off in inertial bullet puller on a loaded cartrige

I think I heard " I gave it several whacks, then finally a rally solid whack" several times. Why cant the pellet fracture then when the bits rub together off the little bugger goes. Its unlikely for any of these to blow up, but a crimped pistol primer might prove me wrong. The damage would be...

    7.62x54r with TrailBoss?????????

Ive been loading a couple of WSMs, 7mm &300 and a 375 Ruger, with unsized cast bullets that are Lee tumble lubed. Im not using TB but the same principles apply. I dont size the cases at , just use finger pressure to seat. Some are tighter than others-the 375 will seat firmly and can be run thru...
