ruger single 6 vs s&w model 17 masterpiece

Yes, and yes! My $0.02 - I have a 4 screw M17, 2 Single Sixes (.22 and .32), a Single Seven, and a Dan Wesson .22 - I find the S&W an absolute delight to shoot, but in the woods it's one of the other 3 in the holster. I'd hold that if you're hunting, a Ruger's much easier to subject to...

    Single shot .357 mag rifles...

I'll toss in another Contender vote. Particularly in light of 'experimenting with reloading'. Very strong gun (check loading manuals for 'Contender only' data...), versatile, and potentially extremely accurate. Big plus, IMHO, is slower, possibly more thoughtful shooting - I have a great range...

    Please help with Powder question

No. They are similar, but not interchangeable. Check the Hodgdon web site for particulars, load data, etc. You'll see the difference there. Linky... http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle

    Flash hole deburring

Sorry, I'm old, sick, and been drinkin'. May I kindly enquire as to *** that brass is? Thank you! Also, fwiw, I deburr flash holes on new brass only, but do that consistently. Poor flash holes can lead to substantial variance in MV, aka POI. Uniform counts for something (I'm sure my DI would be...

    How to ship ammunition

In my experience, in northern VT, you need to take the shipment to an actual terminal - the 'stores' are not company ops. My local UPS terminal has been fine to deal with. FedEx, a PITA. If you're not near a UPS terminal you're in for a bad time...

    357 Maximum vs 357 Magnum

Midway is currently shipping all the Max brass you want, at approx. 30 cents per. Just sayin - mine arrived last week, I think I'm set for the rest of my life (I'm old...)

T/C Classic 22 what can you tell me about it?

Another fan/owner here. Very well made, very accurate out of the box. Omnivorous as well - even CCI Quiets reliably cycle mine. You do want to pay attention to the possibility of the chipping issue - see "Classic Extractor Mod" thread on Rimfire Central. Not difficult, just a little time...

    Best beam under $75

Most anything Ohaus - if you watch flea-bay you can score an excellent beam (mechanical, rather than electronic) scale within your range. If you check the photos provided you'll find many 'name' scales are actually rebranded Ohaus units. See, for instance...

Dan Wesson Pork Chop or Ruger Security Six?

I've small frame DWs and a Speed Six. Overall, much as I like my Dans, I'd go with the Ruger. Easier maintenance, and I think (don't know, as my Dans are all 4"+) the Ruger might be a bit 'better' (lighter, possibly a bit thinner) for CCW. If a range/woods gun, a toss-up, IMHO. In any event...
