Okay, with the shell plate all the way up, I screwed the die down until it touched then went down another 1/4" turn to make it cam over. For grins I ran a handful of each brass mfg thru.

PPU 1.450"
FC 1.438"
These indeed chamber fine but I guess my question is why the...
Sorry, this was a typo. <I took a handful of cases which were 1.760" > It should have been 1.460". Using the Hornady adapter for my calipers, that is the measurement from the base to the datum line (0.330"). I wanted to make sure they were longer than my target value for adjusting the die...
I'm still having very inconsistent readings when FL sizing with my Dillon 223 die. First, my once fired cases from my gun measure 1.455" and my target is to size and bump back 1.450" (for multiple AR's).
The problem I'm having, is my measurements are coming our all over the place. I took a...
Wow, and my XD9 3.3" shoots all my reloads and never an issue. Isn't funny how 2 exact guns can shoot so differently? It may be it just doesn't like those particular reloads.

Using .224" as a baseline.
5,650 RPM with a HSS Cutter
13,000 RPM with a Carbide Cutter
Feed rate that you remove material varies with number of cutters, by hand it shouldn't be a concern.

Everything came in March 30th except the dies. I ordered a sizing die and a bullet seat and crimp die from ebay at "normal" prices and got them in today. Made a dozen rounds to test and I'm pretty excited. I still want those Dillon dies tho...

I've had primers and powder on order from Brownells since mid December and hadn't seen any of it yet. Their original expected date was 1st or 2nd week of January.

They had the A2230 in stock so I told them to go ahead and ship that out and send the rest when...
I took collet A and bent the fingers out some and repeated until it started dropping as desired. Now I have to fix the tipping issue between stations. I'm using the Dillon powder funnel but I did try the PTX that came with it as well.
I installed a Hornady 9mm bullet feed die on my Dillon 650 a few days ago and I never have had any luck. I think something is wrong with it. I looking for ideas before I ditch it.
First, I followed the instructions to a T. Disassemble, degrease, assemble until die touches collet B and back...
A "M" die can be used to bell the mouth of the 223 just enough to make it much easier to stab/start a projectile. Most people I've heard of using bullet feeder for the 223 have the M die in their tool head.

He couldn't provide one when I ordered due to the sheer volume of orders he and Dillon has been receiving.
I was out of state traveling and he personally checked my order status each day so I could arrange pickup. When I got back in town I let him know so he didn't have to continue with the...
