Have the gun in question at home know . Looks like extractor broke,jamed up, and kept bolt from closeing completly,when shell went off . The force came carrier on trigger group and blew bolt open . Mimnal replacement will be complete bolt assembly and trigger group . Will their be headspace...

Have a chance to purchase an 870 Express that had a shell go off while feeding no damage to shooter but gun needs some work .My question is how common is it to have a broken firing pin and could that have caused the shell to go off . For the price I'm getting it for may just strip gun for parts .
